Catlin Ballard

Land Survey Technician

Catlin Ballard is a Land Survey Technician at Civil Southeast, part of the team since 2021. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Surveying Technology and brings practical field experience that complements his ongoing academic work. What Catlin appreciates most about his role is the variety — traveling to different parts of the state and experiencing new scenery from week to week keeps the work engaging.

Before Civil Southeast, Catlin spent a decade working in the oilfield. When he and his wife were expecting their first child, he made the decision to find a career closer to home — and joining Civil Southeast turned out to be, in his own words, the best decision he has ever made.

Today, Catlin is a devoted father to Riley and Audrey. Outside of work, he is passionate about bowhunting and gardening, and enjoys passing those interests on to his kids.
